From the words of Brittany Dawn Brannon - Miss Arizona USA 2011:

"I was born and raised in Paradise Valley, Arizona! I have always been submersed in the arts. I have played violin and piano since age 5, and was in orchestra all throughout high school. I have done classical ballet since I have been two years old and was accepted to the America Ballet Theater.

It had always been my goal to go and dance professionally in New York at ABT, however a foot injury that took place when I was 17, prevented me from dancing ever again.

With faith that everything happens for a reason, I instantly began to look for the next opportunity..."

"...those experiences as Miss New York have been unforgettable.  But what I have to remember is that at the end of the day, I come home and all this comes off.  The sash comes off, the earrings come out, and what I am left with is just me. And that's where I see the importance of just being.

BE who you are, BE confident, and BE real.  BE the nerd who works at the Genius bar at Apple and then comes home to watch Dancing with the Stars with her roommates.

BE the change you wish to see in the world and be PRESENT in the moment.  That's what I am, that's I strive to be!"

So today we are addressing the long discussed debate of "To Bring or To Not Bring the Boyfriend" to your pageant. Some girls believe that it is encouraging to have the support of their boyfriend throughout the pageant while others say that their boyfriends are just a distraction.

So let's go to the experts...we'll ask a few titleholders what they think on "To Bring or To Not Bring the Boyfriend".

VIDEO: Allie LaForce – Miss Teen USA 2005

As told by Miss Teen USA 2005, Allie LaForce, in her 2005 Pageantry Magazine interview:

"The days went by so fast for my roommate, Miss Michigan Teen USA 2005, Catherine Laurion, and me. We would hold hands each night and say the same prayer: If it be God's will, let us be the last two standing.

Amazingly we were...

The 4th runner-up was called, followed by the 3rd and 2nd runners-up, but it was not until I was left standing there in the middle of the stage with Catherine that I thought, 'Could I actually win this thing?' We couldn't let go of each other, and when they called Michigan as the 1st runner-up and me as Miss Teen USA 2005, she couldn't have been more supportive."

It was nearly 6 years ago that God's will was seemingly apparent that night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The two roommates that held hands each night during prayer were the last two embraced in the pageant's final moments. Along with Allie's new crown came a new roommate, Miss USA 2005, Chelsea Cooley Altman...one she would develop a lifelong friendship.

I was extremely lucky to interview both Miss USA 2005, Chelsea Cooley and Miss Teen USA 2005, Allie LaForce together once again in this exclusive thePageantGuy.com interview.  Thank you again Chelsea and Allie!

AUDIO: Cris Crotz – Miss Nevada 2010

As I leave today for the Miss America pageant in Las Vegas, I think about the best Vegas trip I've ever had...which was my most recent.  Last time I was in Sin City, I rode shotgun with Miss Dallas USA 2008, Christina Campfield, on the most ridiculous ride known to any living thing -- Stratosphere's Insanity.  Needless to say they named the ride correctly.

Soon I'll reunite with the chance to see my life once again "flash before my eyes"...but not before being greeted by the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign reminding me what this Miss America weekend has in store.  As the state of Nevada welcomes me to their fabulous city, I gladly welcome the fabulous Miss Nevada 2010, Cris Crotz to thePageantGuy.com.

We certainly appreciate the self proclaimed "accidental beauty queen" spending time with us to interview despite her busy schedule!  It's certainly no accident that Miss Nevada 2010 will be competing for the Miss America crown this Saturday night.  Best of luck Cris!
